Alberta Health and Wellness will not be listing biologic medicines for Ulcerative Colitis "consistent with the recommendation through the national Common Drug Review" which means patients without drug coverage through their employer or private companies will not have access to medications such as Remicade.
Thankfully a number of IBD patients have taken the first step by writing to their MLA's. It's time Alberta Health and Wellness heard your voice. The next step is public engagement through an awareness day, contact us to be apart of the campaign. We need you to be apart and helping make a change in this decision.
In support of their efforts, March IBD is coordinating a series of meetings with Members of the Legislative Assembly. Contact Leanne Sprake for more information, if you want to be apart of creating more awareness - we need your support & help make a difference.
Want to tell your MLA your story. Here's how:
1. Tell your story and how being diagnosed Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis has affected your life. Your personal letter will have the largest impact to effect a change in the decision.
